One of those fish was at least 10lbs and the rest were 5-7lbs respectfully. Acouple of weeks ago there were some 15-20lb cohos moving through the bottom end so they are still in the upper river somewhere.

Catching any fish on a centerpin is fun. I fished the Squamish on Sunday.lLost a couple of cohos and my buddy got into 7 cohos. We had to look long and hard for them though.Coming home I saw that the Cap was high again with all this rain.

The water is high right now but it's perfect for those big bad boys. It's just the way they like it.Lots of room for them to sneak by any waiting seals.big cohos still moving in too!

Fished the Cap today from 6:30 til !0:00.Still some chum, mostly very tired. First hour was surprisingly quite, did not see one fish break the surface. After that a couple of BIG Coho, but couldn't get them interested. First day on any river in the last three weeks that I didn't even get a sniff.Found out the name of the pool, it's Ranger Pool.

Fished the cable pool today with no luck, but thats not why I am posting. While fishing the pool, a huge tree fell from the south bank down a mud hill and into the water. Lucky nobody was down there fishing or they would have been killed. The tree broke off somewhere up the hill. It crack from its roots, and it was SOOO LOUD it scared the crap outta me and a few other guys. It was a huge tree and it almost took out a few other with it. Next time your up at cable pool look down river and to the south bank, you'll see the debris of the tree and a huge mudslide. All this rain is tearing away at the banks, BE CAREFULL OUT THERE GUYS.

Right now its pretty good out there. I am still a novice angler so I don't really come home with any fish most of the time but it seems as if you have more experience than I do so your chances are far better. Right now I saw coming threw the hatchery are springs and coho. When I was there yesterday, a fellow caught and released a nice coho at cable pool. He snagged it behind the head so thats why he released it, good man eh! I hear though that the fish in the upper part of the river are in worse shape than in the lower. Makes sense because by the time they reach cable pool, they've had to swim the whole river and they really take a beating for it. So if you plan on keeping fish I would suggest fishing under the highway bridge, seen a few fish landed there a week ago. That is actually a pretty good spot if you get there early enough and beat the crowds. Cheers BCfisher

Nice picture bcfisher, look like the cap water level is slightly on the high side.and i agreed with you that with this water level ,should have a lot more fish moving through
