This a true experience: On July 15/05 I was shopping in the Langley Wal Mart store and noticed that they had a Minn Kota Endura 50lb thrust electric outboard motor on sale at $349.00 plus tax of course-as it seemed like a good deal I bought one-a couple of days later I left for the Kamploops area on a 3 month fishing trip-the main pin that holds the power head to the main boat bracket came lose at least 4 times and I was lucky to get 2 hours trolling time on a fully charged deep cycle 750 12 volt battery-when I got back from my trip (over 3 mnths) I emailed Minn Kota 3 times and informed them of my problems-THEY have NEVER got back to me-So on October 27/05 I phoned the Langley Wal Mart store and told them that I was not happy with the motor--Guess WHAT--they asked me to bring it back and after 3mths and 12 days they gave me a full refund with NO hassle and NO questions asked---HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT FOR LOOKING AFTER YOUR CUSTOMERS--remember Minn Kota would not even answer my emails--this thread is not to bad mouth Minn Kota as they are certainly a popular product--Just maybe now they are to big a company--BUT--I certainly do want to tell everyone one that I meet about the customer service at Wal Mart--Food For Thought --Harley--

Actually the fishing had its ups and downs like everything else-I am usually gone into the interior around Kamploops for 6-7months of the year-I mainly fly fish-BUT-after living in the real world of work most of your life, after you retire a person does need to reward themselves in anyway that the person wants-mine just so happens to be fishing-Thanks for you post--Harley--

Hi harley. Im glad you got to return the motor without any problems. But what a shame that it gave you all that trouble while you where fishing. And the fact that minn kota didnt email you back shows what a rotten company they are. They have nice products but as you can see they dont give a **** about there customers, only to make money. And Wal-Mart really impresses me everytime I go there. That company really knows what there doing as far as customer service and the way the store is run. cheers
